First-rate Undergraduate Course of Shandong Province Approved to Ji’nan Campus (Swinburne College)

Recently, Shandong Provincial Education Department announced the recognition result of the third batch of provincial first-rate undergraduate courses, and the course “Signal and Linear System (bilingual) ” declared by Associate Professor Yang Jinliang from Department of Communication Engineering of Ji’nan Campus (Swinburne College) as project leader was approved as provincial first-rate undergraduate course of Shandong Province, thus realizing new breakthroughs in bilingual content course construction and teaching reform in Sino-foreign cooperative education.

The purpose of carrying out first-rate undergraduate course construction is to establish a new concept of course construction, implement scientific course assessment, improve teachers’ teaching ability, improve the quality-oriented course construction incentive mechanism, and form a multi-type and diversified teaching content and course system so as to make courses better, make teachers more competent, make students busier, make management stricter and make results more substantial.

In recent years, the “Signal and Linear System (bilingual)” course teaching team has been devoted to bilingual course construction and teaching reform, approved as demonstration team of college-level undergraduate classroom teaching reform, and approved four research projects of undergraduate teaching reform of Shandong Province and four key projects of the college-level education and teaching research “galaxy program”. The course was approved as course construction projects such as college-level online course, demonstration course of ideological and political education, bilingual course, and first-rate course.

Taking the approval of provincial first-rate undergraduate course as an opportunity, Jinan Campus (Swinburne College) will further strengthen classroom teaching reform, continuously deepen the reform and innovation of the undergraduate course system, course contents and teaching modes in the context of Sino-foreign cooperative education, take an initiative to build an excellent teaching team, and keep on improving the educating level and the quality of talent cultivation through campus cooperation.
