Jinan campus is one of the three campuses of Shandong University of Science and Technology and is one of the birthplaces of the university. It is located in Jinan, the beautiful spring city and the capital of Shandong Province. Its address is No.17, sheng Lizhuang Road, Tianqiao District.

The campus covers an area of 13.59 hectares, with a building area of 120,100 square meters, a total asset value of RMB 197 million yuan, and a total teaching equipment value of RMB 30.45 million yuan.The library has a building area of 7500 square meters, a collection of 270,000 books, 3.5 million electronic books, 16,500 kinds of electronic journals and 29 databases in Chinese and foreign language. Currently there are 3070 students in the university, including 1934 Sino-foreign collaborative undergraduate program students and 1136 university-enterprise collaborative undergraduate program students, as well as 238 faculty and administrative staff, of which 44% are senior or above.

Jinan campus sets up Jinan Campus CPC Affairs Committee and Jinan Campus Administrative Committee, the representative unit of the university and are under the leadership of the university Party committee and administration, is responsible for the management of the campus. There are three academic departments, i.e. Department of Finance and Economics, Department of Electrical Engineering & Information Technology and Department of Fundamental Courses, offering seven undergraduate programs including International Economics and Trade, Information Management and Information Systems, Electrical Engineering & Automation, Communication Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science and Technology. 54 laboratories are equipped on campus, covering 3 university characteristic and advantageous disciplines laboratory projects jointly built by the central and local government, and 3 provincial key discipline teaching and experiment centers.

The campus adopts the mode of collaborative education. Among the five Sino-foreign collaborative education programs, International Economics and Trade and Information Management & Information Systems are set up with Clark University of the United States, Electrical Engineering & Automation and Communication Engineering are set up with the University of Tasmania of Australia, and Finance is set up with the University of Worcester of the UK. All programs mentioned above adopt bilingual or all-English teaching, adhere to the study mode of "language course + content courses", and strive to "build a bridge for students to go abroad and pave the way for them to become talents", forming an export-oriented education characteristic with emphasis on practice and ability. Since the 12th Five Year Plan, over 240 foreign faculty have been delivering courses for the programs on campus and more than 360 students have studied abroad. Among the two university-enterprise collaborative education programs, Accounting is set up with Shandong BBS-step (online finance) Education Consulting Co., Ltd. and Computer Science and Technology is set up with ZTE Software Technology (Jinan) Co., Ltd. Curriculums are formulated jointly by the two parties, and comprehensive skills education is carried out relying on the enterprise, thus improving professional skills and practical abilities of students.

The campus pays attention to the cultivation on ability of innovation, entrepreneurship and practice, establishes 14 employment and entrepreneurship practice bases with Dongying Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and organizes and carries out colorful social practice activities of "Serving the country people in three aspects" in summer vacation which have been reported by Shandong Education Satellite TV, Dazhong Daily, China Youth Network and other media for several times. Among them, students from Jinan Campus won the first prize in the mainland region finals of 2015 China University Business Challenge, which was interviewed and reported by the CCTV News Studio Column, and got good social reputation. Since the 12th Five Year Plan, 313 national awards, 323 provincial awards and 95 patent authorizations have been achieved.

Based on the orientation of Sino-foreign collaborative education, Jinan campus insists on the fundamental task of cultivating talents by virtue, highlights the concept of characteristic development, and adheres to the university motto of "Truth and Innovation" and the university ethos of "Unity, Diligence, Truth-seeking and Innovation", thus constantly deepening the teaching reform, actively implementing the construction project of integrated learning style of teaching and management, striving to improve the school running conditions, steadily improving the quality of personnel cultivating, and enhancing the social influence to strive to build the university into an engineering oriented and distinctive, high level university through unite, fight hard and forge ahead with determination.
