The graduation ceremony for the students enrolled in 2012 with Melbourne Polytechnic program was held in the room 109 on June 24. Present in the ceremony were Prof. Yin Hua (Deputy Party Secretary of SDUST and Party Secretary of Jinan Campus), Prof. Dino Bettiol (Deputy President of Melbourne Polytechnic), Mr. Gao Yongjun (Deputy Party Secretary of Jinan Campus), Prof. Wang Yingzhang (Deputy Director of Jinan Campus). The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Leng Shuwei, the duty director of administration office.
The ceremony started with Chinese and Australian national anthems. Prof. Yin Hua gave an enthusiastic speech, shared with the graduation the joy of achievement and success, and highly praised the fruitful achievement gained in the 1o-years’ cooperation between SDUST and Melbourne Polytechnic. He also gave encouragement to the graduates for their future, keeping learning in life, updating knowledge, improving and perfecting themselves in continuous thinking and practice.
Prof. Dino Bettiol addressed his congratulations for the first graduates after NMIT got his new brand—Melbourne Polytechnic, and expressed his gratitude to the teaching and administration staff involved in the joint program. He believes, with the signing of Free Trade Agreement between China and Australia, the collaboration between our two universities will be building closer ties and relationships. At last, Prof. Bettiol wish the graduates good fortune and a successful career.
Respectively on behalf of the teachers and students, Ms. Zhang Jia and student Li Xiubo, gave speeches on the ceremony in fluent English. In the end, Prof. Bettiol issued diploma certificates to the graduates.
