Clark Guests Visiting SDUST

Between March 15^thand 18^th, five guests from Clark University visited SDUST, including Dr. William Fisher, Dean of Graduate Studies and Associate Provost, Dr. Tom Massey, Dean of COPACE, Ms. Amy Gardner, Associate Dean of International Graduate Program, Mr. James Raby, Associate Dean of COPACE and Director of American Language and Culture Institute, and Mr. Li Baiqing, Director of China Programs. Separately inQingdaocampus andJinancampus they received warmly welcome from Prof. Ren Tingqi, the President of SDUST and Prof. Zhang Shiqiang, the vice-president of SDUST. Present were the staff from International Office,GraduateCollegeandJinancampus.

During the visit, the two parties reviewed the teaching and management of the cooperative program in the past year, discussed the issues related to Program Evaluation and the measures to continue boosting the development of our program. Meanwhile, views were exchanged about English teaching, resources sharing, teaching goal’s confirmation, SDUST faculty’s visit, etc., and agreements were reached. The guests also met the program students, and made a further introduction ofClarkUniversityand the cooperative program. The interaction with students was quite active and good effect was achieved.
