On February 7, Zhuang Yongxin, an alumnus from the class of 1987 majoring in Mechanical Engineering at SDUST and the Chairman of the renowned Australian enterprise Bristar Group, along with Lu Ying, an alumnus from the class of 2000 majoring in Industrial Engineering and a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the Department of Management at Macquarie University, Australia, visited the Jinan campus. Guo Jiashu, Executive Deputy Director of the Campus's Management Committee, and Sun Guoqiang, Deputy Director of the Campus's Management Committee, met with the alumni. Relevant personnel from the Party and Administration Affairs Office and the Department of Student Affairs & Youth League attended the meeting.
Guo Jiashu warmly welcomed the visit of Zhuang Yongxin, Lu Ying and their delegation. He provided a detailed introduction to the school-running achievements of SDUST and the developmental orientation of the campus's "Three Major Functional Zones", with a particular emphasis on the campus's distinctive feautres of international education initiatives. He expressed the hope to strengthen exchanges and interactions with alumni in Australia in areas such as the international cultivation of students, the introduction of high-level talents and the faculty team building, in order to support the international development of SDUST and the campus.
Zhuang Yongxin and Lu Ying reminisced about the wonderful scenes of their study and life during their time at SDUST, expressing pride in SDUST's rapid development. They each shared their experiences of running businesses and advancing their careers in Australia, and unanimously stated their commitment to serving as a bridge and bond for promoting cooperation and exchange between SDUST and the campus and Australia, and contributing their strength as alumni to the alma mater's growth.
