A Delegation from the School of Continuing Education of Hubei University of Economics Visited Jinan Campus (Swinburne College)

On the morning of March 12, a six-member delegation, led by Zhang Zhiwu, dean of the School of Continuing Education of Hubei University of Economics, visited Jinan Campus (Swinburne College) to investigate the joint education program between our university and Krirk University of Thailand. Guo Jiashu, Executive Deputy Director of Jinan Campus Management Committee, Shi Zhou, Deputy Director of Management Committee of Jinan Campus (Swinburne College), and Wu Junqing, Deputy Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office & Director of International Exchange Department of Jinan Campus (Swinburne College) of Shandong University of Science and Technology, met with them and had a discussion with them.


Guo Jiashu welcomed the guests and introduced them to the history of Shandong University of Science and Technology, as well as the development goals and characteristics of the Jinan campus as the zone of Three Major Functions (i.e., historical inheritance, provincial capital exhibition, and internationalization education pilot) of the university. He hoped to strengthen communication and exchange with Hubei University of Economics, learn from each other, and jointly explore the development mode and path of international education cooperation. Zhang Zhiwu introduced the general situation of the School of Continuing Education of Hubei University of Economics, expressed his admiration for the rapid development and achievements of Shandong University of Science and Technology in recent years, and praised the achievements of the Jinan Campus as the zone of Three Major Functions. They had an in-depth exchange on the student affairs, curriculum setting, and faculty governance of the project. Wang Changfeng, Deputy Director of the Jinan International Affairs Center of Krirk University, and Sun Qiang, Director of the Wuhan International Affairs Center of Krirk University, attended the meeting. Student representatives of the Sino-Thai project also participated in the meeting.

The visiting guests also visited the international education environment of the campus and walked into the project classroom to observe the teaching work.
