On April 29, Shandong University of Science and Technology (SDUST) and Swinburne University of Technology (SUT) held an online meeting of the Academic Steering Committee for the Swinburne College of SDUST. Attendees included Neema, Director of Transnational Education Partnerships at SUT, as well as Shi Zhou and Liu Xikui, Deputy Directors of the Jinan Campus Management Committee. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics including teaching, research and collaborative programs. Representatives from both universities responsible for academic affairs, international exchange, scientific research, and related discipline teaching participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, both parties reviewed and confirmed the completion status of tasks established in the previous session, including updating the curriculum alignment plan, signing the "3+1+1" program agreement, improving the online learning experience for students, and enhancing faculty exchange mechanisms.
SDUST presented a comprehensive summary of the implementation status of current cultivation programs, and the 2024–2025 academic year arrangements for SUT faculty teaching at Swinburne College in Jinan. SUT shared the overseas study progress of Swinburne College students, as well as updates and improvements made to the master's cooperative programs. Both parties conducted detailed discussions regarding teaching arrangements for the 2025–2026 academic year, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening collaboration, jointly elevating teaching quality and talent cultivation standards, and providing expanded development opportunities for students of the Swinburne College of SDUST.
