Dr. J.C. Olivier from UTAS Visited Jinan Campus

On May 18, Dr. J.C.Olivier from University of Tasmania was invited to visit Jinan Campus, and gave a lecture for the students majoring in Communication Engineering. The report was hosted by Prof. Fan Mingqu, the dean of Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.

Prof. Fan warmly welcomed Dr. Olivier’s visit and introduced him to the students. Then, Dr. Olivier made an introduction about University of Tasmania (UTAS) from geographical and historical views. It was pointed out that UTAS is located in the only island state in Australia ------- Island of Tasmania, having a pleasant life style and fresh air, which is the first choice for both work and life. Dr. Olivier encouraged the students to study in UTAS. From the academic perspectives, Dr. Olivier briefly introduced the development of communication engineering. At last, he patiently answered the questions brought up by the students.
